The fall of leaves

It is sunny here all year round and the town council maintenance guy didn’t get to this tree soon enough.

The fall of leaves

Walking the dog has made me notice more the outdoor environment around me. In general the weather here is hot and wet but there wasn’t any rain in the last couple of weeks, and when it finally poured some areas in Jurong experienced hailstones… in the tropics! Go figure~

  1. That’s PAWsome .. having a dog truly makes you more aware of your beautiful surroundings. Hope you join our See Beautiful hop and share what you see on your walks. Happy Black n White Sunday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

    • Oh cool, another blog hop! Will be sure to check in on that! ;) Hoppity hop! Have a great week ahead sweetie ;)

  2. I hope that Falling Leaf inspector takes severe action against the negligent maintenance man! :)

    • When we saw him, the maintenance man was as glum as can be to be working in the hot, hot sun. Inspector Grass is more interested in inspecting the dried grasses :P so we passed the maintenance man by peacefully :P I actually just wanted to get back indoors to a cool drink myself :P Thanks for popping by, I’m sorry Inspector Grass has been derelict in his duty to ensure falling leaf-free grass!

  3. I love the curve in the last picture! Great contrast with the ground. Isn’t it nice that we have a daily excuse to get outside, away from the computer and enjoy life for a while?!

    • Me too, that dog is curved like the landscaped :D but she stands out like a sore thumb :P Can’t camouflage her there. I usually find it hard to get going when I’m all nice and cool and comfy and home, but once I am out there, there is nothing better than the breeze and the warmth of the sun on my back… until the sweating kicks in… this hot humid weather!! D: But yes, a walk outside usually clears the mind and any associated headaches :D Glad we are compatriots there! ;) Thanks for popping by and appreciation of the curve! :D May your world never be just straight and narrow!

  4. I love the contrast between the first two photos…it’s amazing what you can find in the simplest shots

    • Indeed, I thought just a couple of photos of leaves would bore most people :P But it’s the first time in years I noticed changes in something as in the background as a small tree amidst a landscaped park. At first it was just drooping leaves, and few days later, bam all dried up. Glad you like the textures in them :) I appreciate it lots!! Have a great day ;)

  5. oh poor tree… but we love rolling on crunchy leaves!!

    • I would imagine they are prickly, until you steamroll over them :P Inspecting grass is the way to go for Donna!! *throws crunchy leaves and Angel and Chaos, and the rest of the house of dogs*

  6. It sure looks like your enjoying sniffing the leaves!

  7. barkandchatter

Oh, what a shame! reminds me of my kids wilting in the sun! :)

  8. slimdoggy

Wow – hailstones huh…hope you didn’t get caught outside. The photos are cool – thos are big leaves – what type of tree?

    • Nope, we missed the hailstones where we were… it was a freak storm but we were safe inside a shopping mall :P I have no idea what type of tree :P Sorry

  9. I want a garden too. But I have trouble watering regularly. It’s not in my DNA! :P
