Hunger pangs?

1. Paddy Hills – Contemporary menu & coffee

Opening hours: Weekday 10.30am – 5pm, Weekend 9am – 5pm, Dinner 6 – 9.30pm daily

Paddy Hills offers a contemporary menu with specialty coffee and hand brew bar. I first visited this place at lunchtime on a workday and we enjoyed the food. The presentation was delightful which made the dining experience a wonderful respite from the workday.

Needless to say, I enjoyed it so much we returned for dinner when P and Donna came to pick me up from work one day.
Disappointingly, we found the dinner menu not to be as extensive as the lunch menu. I enjoyed lunch more than dinner there.

It seems the menu has changed again when I last visited, assuming the menu on Paddy Hills’ facebook page is updated. See the menu and prices here.
If you do visit, remember to take a photo at the side of the shophouse where Paddy Hills is located in. Just for fun :)
2. Otoko Ramen – Warm, comfort food
Address: 321 Alexandra Road #01-16 Singapore (5 min drive from HortPark)
Opening hours: Daily 11.00am – 10.00pm
Contact: Facebook
Caveat: I haven’t eaten at many ramen places in Singapore, but so far, Otoko Ramen is my favourite. ;)
They have only a few choices of soup base to choose from, with the option to add sides at additional cost. Each table also comes with a bowl of free hard boil eggs.
Food has stayed consistent with my return visit. I can see myself going again and again. Hot soupy ramen is too great a comfort food on rainy days for me not to go. :P
Portions are big for me, so we usually ask for less noodles. #justsaying

3. The Tea Party – Air-conditioned comfort on a hot day

Hot day and looking for air-conditioned comfort for you and your dog? Head over to The Tea Party cafe.
We visited on a weekday evening and pretty much had the place to ourselves.
I ordered something simple for dinner – fried rice with an egg.
4. Colbar – a “Colonial Bar” that’s a jungle hideout
Address: 9A Whitchurch Road Wessex Estate (8 min drive from HortPark)
Opening hours: Tues to Sun, 11am – 10pm (closed on Mondays)
Contact: Facebook
We ate simple fare that was more expensive than average… for simple fare. But this is a nice rustic coffeeshop hideaway to just sit and chill. See menu and prices here.
5. Handlebar – a biker-themed bar
Address: 10 Lock Road Singapore (3 min drive from HortPark)

I’ve actually not been to Handle Bar at Gillman Barracks, but I’ve been to the one near Sembawang Park. You can read about Handle Bar near Sembawang Park here. This outlet is no longer there, since it has moved to Gillman Barracks.
The Handle Bar at Gillman Barracks continues to allow dogs at their outdoor seating.
We love handle bar, they will bring a bowl of ice cold water bowl for the dogs even without asking… Love their ‘slap yo’ mama pork chop’ and their ‘cocaine wings’!!!! Delish! 😊

At just 3-minutes drive away from HortPark, both Handle Bar and The Tea Party Cafe are the nearest eating places around the HortPark.
@walkwithsushi: Masons, Revolution Coffee, Portico Host and DW Workshop are also dog-friendly eating places near HortPark! 😄🐶
So now, you will have no worries where to eat with dog if you go hiking along the Henderson Waves – Southern Ridges – HortPark – Kent Ridge Park trail. Have a great adventure and come back to tell me about it!
