Masterpiece, it’s all dependent on perspective

Another multiple exposure up there. Yup, that’s Donna still getting used to her new crate, so you can see a bit of unease peeking through in her eyes and eyebrow.

Digital artistry is not restricted to a certain age group. Meet Grandpa, who creates masterful pixel art on his computer everyday.

Weekly Phoneography: Donna and I

  1. Hal Lasko’s pixel art is amazing. Thank you for sharing this. It taught me that we could find art everywhere.

    • Yes, I thought it is amazing how he does it! :) I think we are too young for that type of patience though :P

  2. Lovely links and thanks for sharing Mrs. P. Oh, I feel for Donna. Look at that cute face…but it’s better to be safe than sorry. I have no idea if it works and Simba would never forgive me if I put him in a crate but all furry kids differ as they each have their own personalities. Hang in there! :D *big hugs*

    • Thanks Sonel, don’t worry, its not a hardship to get her to like the crate, not as much as her going fearful every time it storms :)

  3. barkandchatter

That first pic is beautiful and so creative!

  4. Donna, you are a masterpiece! Wooooowoooooo, Ku

    • A kind lady at the dog cafe gave Donna minced beef over the weekend and Donna thinks minced beef is the masterpiece of masterpieces now :P

  5. Clever take on “without” — I need to start learning how to combine my photos digitally, sigh. And I love the photo of the Supertrees — interesting capture!

    Halie

    • Thank you, the photos were combined using phone photos on the Blendcam app… not difficult although time consuming when one is new to it and has to trial and error to find the layers that work well together! ;) I do love the tourist trap at Gardens by the Bay :P Have a great week ahead Halie!

  6. Looked at the color version on Instragram and must say I like the B&W much better…Hadn’t heard of the supertrees before, so I’m off to read about them now

  7. Donna does deserve to be on top of the world, because your attention and love must make her feel that way each and every day: terrific accolades for her. I truly enjoyed your “blended” image. Well done.

  8. Mel

What a completely different take on black and white. Love the photo with Donna. Guess I can’t blame her. Jasper doesn’t really like his either. Love the tourist trap one too. Very interesting structures. Very cool!

    • The good thing about Donna is, she always views whatever I try to introduce to her with suspicion, but because she is quite greedy for treats, she usually will eventually come round to the new items favourably :P Thank you for the kind comments, have a great week ahead Mel :)

  9. Love the layered effect with Donna’s photo – sort of implies entrapment (?) – the urban environment, bird cages, her crate and the big storm clouds which keep you inside :)

    • In this case, yes I think you are right. Although, if Donna’s eyes are steady/relaxed in the picture, one could also say that it implies safety and security, despite the bleak imagery of entrapment. That contrast would be quite interesting for me and make this a good picture. Unfortunately she is doing the whale-eye (- -!) :P

      • So many options for interpretation. Wonder what Donna thinks?

        • She’s happy to poke her nose into the crate if there are yummy things inside although she won’t get in bodily unless you ask her to do so, at this stage. I have every confidence in her though :P

  10. Oh wow, the first pic is just awesome!

  11. I agree, that first picture is awesome! Love it!
