Brunch at Verdure Cafe, Springleaf Nature Park
More about Springleaf Nature Park & Verdure Cafe
At first glance, Springleaf Nature Park does not seem to offer much entertainment for someone walking a dog.
It’s pretty small so there’s not much for you and dog to explore and spend time there. But this park does have two features that can be a draw for dog lovers. One, there is the Verdure Cafe with outdoor seating. Two, the park is landscaped with “fallen” logs that make perfect photo opportunities in a green space. Come, take a look!
Springleaf Nature Park
Springleaf Nature Park is a roughly-rectangular parcel of land bisected by the Sungei Seletar. Here’s the map to help you better contextualise the layout of the park.
On the right is forested nature areas with the Springleaf Park Connector running alongside it. There are spots for bird watching along the park connector.
On the left are larger grass fields perfect for dogs to play and zoomie around. Except for the following rules and regulations. :P
Springleaf Nature Park has decorative tree logs scattered about it’s area.
Not only do they add interest to the landscape, they also provide stable structures for some urban agility / doggy parkour action (more about doggy parkour here).
What did you say? This log Donna is standing on is too high for your pup to attempt? No worries, because there are several logs lying around to choose from. ;)
Here’s one that’s lying flat and low on the ground:
My favourite is this one:
I’m sure you can tell how much I enjoyed taking photos of Donna in this park. The logs make a wonderful subject for Donna to interact with for the photos.
And once you’ve taken your fill of photos and playing with your dog, and start feeling just a little peckish, head over to the nearby Verdure Cafe for food.
Verdure Cafe
One of the owners is an interior designer, so you can see her sense of aesthetics having a strong influence over the cafe’s ambiance. Most would probably enjoy how the food is presented. I did! :)

Amenities
Sheltered outdoor seating is available. And there are washrooms nearby, so it’s all very convenient.
Ceiling fans keep you and your dog cool in the outdoor seating area. And yes, there are pokestops and a gym in the area. :P :P :P
Be sure to bring lots of dog treats and water to keep your dog hydrated and happy to keep you company while you enjoy your meal and drinks in the great outdoors.

Kismet
That’s really different from where we are. We’ve never been to Asia but love the cuisine. We’re in the cowboy movie country and can take a day trip to the Grand Canyon. It doesn’t matter to our dogs and probably not to Donna also, as long as they get their love.
