Are you cooking that for me?

Here’s Donna lying outside the kitchen, which is what she customarily does when the lazy human is cooking something. Hah!

my cooking: cut up chicken breast steak for dogSo we finally made our way to the supermarket on Saturday morning to buy a slab of boneless chicken for Donna’s postphoned-due-to-illness Christmas chicken steak!!

All cut up so that she doesn’t drag it around and leave smears on the floor. Donna loves my lousy cooking! XD

Christmas week, a year ago and today

sleeping dog for Christmas postHappy Christmas Eve and have a merry week everyone.
I have a short fictional piece for you because I don’t pretend to know what my dog is thinking. :P It is inspired by observations of Donna last year when she was still in the shelter and this year, Donna is sleeping as I typed this. Planning to get Donna a nice fat juicy steak for Christmas Day tomorrow, since we have to be off to our relatives later today without her.

So human, finally decided to get up from lazing in bed to feed your poor hungry dog breakfast, did you?, asks the mutt with the ninja tail of the #1 person in her life. The warm body attached to the hand that doles out the food ,of course!

Dog boarding Donna at Paw Planet

Update May 14, 2014 – Paw Planet has currently stopped offering dog boarding services, but daycare is still available.

The thing about having dependents – children, elderly parents – is that it makes travel difficult. In our case, we had Donna. She needed dog boarding.

Spire

My best photo of last week: a moody graphic of birds hanging about a pagoda spite. I like the vibe created by the detail on the pagoda spire, the bird silhouettes in front of the brooding clouds. It’s a clean and simple image of one pagoda spire and how nature interacts with it.

We have a fantastic mix of still and action shots this week. Stills and action shots each require different skill set but are no less difficult to execute. Even if you has a fantastic DSLR or a simpler camera phone, one needs to know how to use the functions provided by the DSLR or to work within the limitations of a simpler camera to one’s advantage to produce a memory that is stunning. But even if it is not the best technically, sometimes, the significance behind it counts for much more to the individual. Thank you for sharing, and please do visit the photographers listed and linked. :)

Welcome to My Best Photo of the Week (MBPOTW) Challenge – Week 16!
