One shot, two ways at the market.
Waiting for Mr P to buy breakfast at the market. Getting Donna to learn to stay calmly is mighty useful for taking Donna out to short errands outside.
At home, our dog, Donna, got up from next to me and went to sit by Mr P.
Mrs P: Look at that traitor.
Mr P: …
Mr P: She just farted. It stinks.
Mrs P: Good! :D

Like the perspective. Thanks.

Cool pictures. Donna is beautiful. I am glad you take Donna with you to run errands and make her wait patiently for you. That is, believe it or not, a job for her to do. I had a dog I was pet sitting that because of his lack of training and behavior modification got hurt when he was trying to get out of the crate. I decided to start working with him on this and I started by walking him and Alex, my dog first for about 20 mins. I would then come back home to drop off Alex, and I made him wait by the front door, inside though, while I got the next dog ready to go for a walk. Now we walked 30-40 mins. I repeated this one more time, and then I cleaned them all up. I did this for a couple of days and the next time he came to stay with us, I noticed that even in the morning, while he waited for me to do my morning ablutions he was patient. He waited in his bed until I called him to go. I saw a good change. Pet parents many times say that they don’t have time to train or modify their dogs’ behavior, but actually they do because just like you they can incorporate that on their daily routine. You are doing a great job. Keep it up:)

Thank you Marcela, it helps that on weekends we have two of us around so one can stay with her while the other hops into the shops to get the things we need. But yes, I totally agree that it is easier to stay consistent with training when it is incorporated into our daily routine. If it is something extra that we need to do, then we sometimes do get lazy to do it. :P
Marcela
Wow! You do the same thing we do. Whenever we go with Alex to places where she cannot go in, either Cynthia or I go in and the other one stays with Alex. That is one thing I tell pet parents when they say to me, I don’t have time for training, incorporate training into your daily life. Great job and there are times when we all need a break, but that is ok too:)
weliveinaflat
Thank you! And I totally like that you think a break is good for humans! Fantastic! Have a great week ahead!
Marcela
You too:)

Donna’s being very patient isn’t she. Good girl – good lessons to teach too.
weliveinaflat
Thank you, she is a patient little soul :)
Christine and Riley
What a good doggie!! I couldn’t do that where I live because someone would take my dogs… nice that you live someplace that she is safe.
weliveinaflat
We take her out only when there are two of us. That way, one can look after her and make sure she is safe and the other way and buy the stuff we need. :) Thanks for taking the time to pop by and comment :) Have a good day today!

I am so impressed with Donna’s progress. Wow! Absolutely love the angle of both of these shots. Your perspective and hers. Good girl Donna! You are awesome!
weliveinaflat
Me too! To be honest I wasn’t expecting her to be so calm since we didn’t go on a long walk before that at all. Haha! Have a good day Mel :)
Greyhounds CAN Sit (@BerylsMum)
Donna is doing so well! Frankie and I can learn a lot from you. We both have very little impulse control, lol! Love both photos especially the one from Donna’s level.
weliveinaflat
That’s a lot of legs she sees :P And I am very glad she has some impulse control generally because she has very bad recall!! :P Thank you for the kind words and have a great day! :)
kkoira
Cool concept with the one pose two ways photo.
weliveinaflat
Thank you :)
Elizabeth Bergesen
Yes, love the two different perspectives!
weliveinaflat
Thank you Elizabeth :)
Kroten
The upper photo looks like black sausage ;) …sorry Donna ;p
Love the perspective on second pic.
weliveinaflat
OH so that’s why she licks herself so often! No wonder! Have a good day :)
Sonel
Great shots Mrs. P. She looks happy. :D
Whahahahahah! Simba does the same and hubby too. Between the two of them my sinuses can’t stand it. hahahahaha
weliveinaflat
Oh well, they can sit with each other then… while you escape to somewhere else with fresh air! :D
Sonel
I do! And let us not start with the snoring! LOL!
rubytheblacklabrador
Nice shots, especially the overhead one. I reckon if you did this regularly you could sit in coffee shop after coffee shop with a dog sleeping at your feet :)
weliveinaflat
The challenge is finding a coffeeshop within walking distance and outdoor sitting space that allows pets. Which is quite the challenge :P Muahaha. Perhaps we should think about doing it more regularly though. :)
rubytheblacklabrador
yes – out and about pottering stimulation is great. We have the same restrictions – dogs mustn’t be within 20 metres I think of food prep areas bu we have a few friendly local places that accept well behaved (!) dogs.
weliveinaflat
Haha, looks like Ruby has hoodwinked them pretty well :D :P
Pup Fan
BOL – my dogs do that too!
weliveinaflat
Haha, ok…. stay cool, avoid when they fart :P Haha
Dolly the Doxie
You do good waiting not like me. My separation anxiety makes me nuts until either mom or dad, which ever went in withOUT me, comes back. Love Dolly
weliveinaflat
Oh Donna is super happy when the human returns too :3 Zen and peace Dolly, don’t go nuts! :P Although you are probably still cute going nuts :P Haha!
kuujinbo
Love the second shot at Donna’s eye level – a dog’s eye view. :)
weliveinaflat
Hmm, I suppose I should have the camera even lower since she was lying down ;P but thank you :D
2browndawgs
Nice pictures!

Thank you, have a great day Linda :)
