Quite some time back, a friend gave Donna a hand-me-down rubber chicken. It made a ridiculous squawk when squeezed and got Donna so excited she started barking at it in the flat. The chicken was condemned to storage since we didn’t exactly want Donna barking in the flat.

Their perspectives – What the cat sees and what the human perceives differently
“The 2014 future looks bright!” said the squinting dog.
Looking forward to a good year ahead. I hope you will have a good 2014.
Happy New Year :)
Miss Harper Lee in her favourite scarf perhaps. I keep seeing her in it.
Picture “borrowed” :P from Miss Harper Lee’s Instagram, edited by me.
Miss Harper Lee, who looks very safari here, tagged me to post 20 things about myself on Instagram, but 20 things is a little too long for IG, so this is my reply here:
Welcome Friends! Today Donna will take you on a home tour!
I try to post once a day but yesterday’s interview at a doggie day care and meetup with puppies totally wiped me up. Playing catch up here since I am a little late :P
When Mr P and I met Donna for the first time, she looked like any other mongrel in the shelter. They were mostly brown, black or black and tan like Donna.
The look of a local mongrel. Donna is small for one.
She shook paws and took treats.
When we came out, Mr P’s comment was something to the effect of, “She’s not a looker, but guess she’s smart and trainable.”
Last night when we went down for Donna’s loo break, there was a youngish-looking cat stalking a lizard on the wall. On a whim, I made a meow-ing noise and the cat came towards us curiously. I had Donna sit and stay on one side of me, while on the other side I stroked the cat who was marking me with her scent. But soon enough, Donna would not sit and stay further. She got up and her head moved to sniff the cat even as she made to sniff at Donna’s nose.
I was quite astonished. It was a beautiful moment.
