welcome homeMr P just returned from his travels. A series of haikus about homecoming and how Donna greets him at the door. There is a video too!

How do your dogs greet you when you come back home?

Going Cuckoo over Haiku*: Welcome home, Mr P!

Monday night

Impossible thoughts.
Plane arrives seven a.m.
She may oversleep.

Tuesday morning

She came back with him.
Welcome home Mr P! Wait,
welcome toy in mouth.

Bonus: Waggedy butt

I can’t help it when
my butt swings like a big smile;
Tail too excited.

Haiku by day:
Wednesday | Thursday | Friday

*Haikus are written in the 5-7-5 syllable format.

  3. What a great welcome Donna! A toy and a wiggly butt… and sweet haikus. You rock!

  4. My favorite part of coming home: my two Persians waiting at the door! I relate to Mr. P’s greeting! It doesn’t matter if it’s minutes or days, the greeting always is full-hearted and welcome! I see Donna subscribes to the same approach!

  5. Awww…that is so sweet. Isn’t it great how dogs are always, always so happy to see us come home!

  6. We welcome Them home with “Where’s our food???”

    • That’s one way to do it. Honestly guys, sometimes the human needs some positive encouragement too!!! They’ll make better slaves that way. ;)

  7. Aww this is so sweet!

  8. No Phoneography so we switch to haiku. :-) Fun.
