I’m writing this post now because it’s time to part with our old beat up Casetify cases that Mr P and I have been using with our previous mobile phones. So what better time to do a Casetify review? :P

Casetify is not a new brand. It’s been around about 8 years it seems. And it’s one of the brands I like because it lets me customise my handphone case with Donna’s photo.

We’ve used these cases for at least 2 years, maybe more. (Can’t really remember.) Take a look at how chipped the original printed design has become!

Designing a custom Casetify case

Since I liked the colour of my original Samsung phone, there was no sense covering it up completely with a phone case. So when I designed the custom case, I opted for a see-through design for parts of it.

Functional elements of my customised Casetify phone case

But only a little because my original phone shell was already cracked badly at the back (before I got a Casetify case). What can I say, all my mobile phones have always shared a rough and tumble fate. This is why when designing the case, I always choose the one with impact resistant rubber sides for maximum protection. My beat up phone definitely needed that extra protection until I get a new one.

And because I always lose my phone, for my next phone I had already planned to use this design where there is an “If found, please call XYZ” notice at the bottom. Hah!

I was also keen to experiment on transparency in my design and see how the final product would turn out when they deliver.

But as I have mentioned earlier in this post, once well used the custom print starts to chip. So for Mr P’s new handphone case, I ordered a design that covered the entire back of the shell. I think that should help with the chipping.

As for myself, my new Samsung phone came with a case already so I am using that for now. But I can’t wait to make a new design once I have properly photographed little P with Donna!

Hope this Casetify review has been helpful to you!
