Phoneography weekly: Getting in the mood of Chinese New Year (CNY)

Phoneography Monday Challenge: Black and White
Apps: Samsung Note 10.1 LTE camera, Snapseed, VSCOcam
Out with the old, dried hydrangeas and in with the fresh new blooms, Chinese New Year comes around next week. Black and white is not the auspicious colour, no. Not for CNY. But they do show up the texture of the festival.

Last year’s decorations get reused, although I tried to mixed it up a bit so that it doesn’t look exactly the same as last year! We do have a new fresh batch of Chinese New Year snacks on the table. They are texture food for sure.

  1. I’m really enjoying what black and white is doing for the photos. :)

  2. I adore the way that the hydrangeas seems as though they are floating. I also like the composition–well done. Happy Phoneography Monday.

  3. Texture really is highlighted by the B&W. Thanks for that reminder.
