Grainy dogs running on a sandy beach

The beach will be a less fun place, if not for the sea.

As our confidence in Donna grew that afternoon, we were more comfortable even when she took off in arcs of doggy enthusiasm, running around and around and around us. This dog likes to run in circles it seems…. and up and down the sand taunting the golden retriever – –

The maltese duo’s human laughed at Chloe and Ally running after Donna but never catching up with their short legs :P Chloe is the silky terrier, the older dog following behind Ally the silky-maltese puppy. It took her a while to warm up to Donna. She is a sweetheart that tends to stay close to her human.

I debated whether to share these low quality, less wide shots of the dogs below and then I thought, these are things I want to look back at with a smile. So, here be the grainy images anyway :P

  1. I bet they all slept with smiles on their faces that night! What a charming series of photos!

  2. Looks like tghey are having so much fun!! Lovely photos.

  3. cool! my dog is turning 3 this September and he hasn’t seen the beach. :(

    • The beach must be very far away for you! Maybe there are other places nearer that you can explore? :) Being a tiny island, our options are pretty limited as well. D:

  4. Gorgeous photos!!! Love seeing Donna having so much fun. She must have zzzzz when you got home.
(ps. suggest to owner of little dog if you see them again to take the leads off. Their dogs and also Donna, if they can catch her, might get there paws tangled and hurt themselves. Better to take leads off and have treats (or whatever motivation works) for a recall.
(Apologies if getting a bit preachy… Just little things to keep the pups safe)

  5. Love all of these. They’re having so much fun! :)

  6. Great shots of a happy and smiling Donna Mrs. P. She truly enjoyed herself with her new friends. I see the Retriever still ‘sticks’ to the water. LOL! So adorable! :D

    • Oh yes, I was very serious when I said the Goldie was there the entire time (90% or more) :P she is the very sticking(!) pillar of insistence. :D

  7. Looks like Donna is a natural beach dog!

    • She actually did not seem too interested in the beach at first. Remember the post where she kept wanting to go sniff the grass instead? It’s only after a while she started to play with Ally and Chloe that she ventured in and out of the water. So I don’t know what to think, about her being a beach dog or no. Maybe a few more visits will help tell us better.

  8. LOVE!!!! They were all having a blast!!!!

  9. Thanks for sharing, it makes everyone smile to see such joy from a simple romp not the beach.

    • Thank you! I could look at the pictures over and over and not get tired! The dogs don’t really get much space to meet up and romp anywhere except at the beach, so this type of I am running crazily joyfully smile? Only at the beach. ;)

  10. Such fun photos, I love the action shots!

  11. I always love seeing other people’s photos of their dogs having fun and the beach is usually the best place for fun even for dogs who don’t like the water :) These photos are making me smile too!

  12. Sometimes it is the emotion that makes a photo interesting. AND of course the memories are priceless.

  13. I love those pictures. They are wonderful action shots!

  14. Grainy or not, the photos still look great! :)

  15. Well, our blog has lots of stuff about Katie (our sheltie) too….still you managed a great horizon AND you made us all smile! :)
